Meet Miss Bryant
Charise Bryant, known affectionately as Miss Bryant, is the passionate driving force behind The Youth Nation Center’s transformative programming. With a rich background in youth mentorship, education, and the performing arts, she brings creativity, empathy, and intentionality to everything she leads.

- Experienced Mentor: Miss Bryant has spent over a 8yrs working with children and teens, helping them unlock their full potential through a combination of emotional mentoring and academic support.
- Arts & Confidence-Focused: Drawing on he love for music and visual arts, she builds engaging experiences that inspire confidence, self-expression, and team collaboration.
- Development Advocate: Believing that true success requires both emotional resilience and practical skills, she designs programs—like the “Ready. Set. Shine!” workshop—that mixes mindset coaching, academic preparation, and creative fun.
- Community and Family Champion: Miss Bryant understands that strong relationships are at the heart of youth success. She builds bridges between students, families, and local partners, ensuring every child feels seen, supported, and valued.

The Youth Nation Center Program & Aftercare
At The Youth Nation Center, our mission is to empower, educate, and uplift young people by providing a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment after school and during enrichment programs. We are committed to supporting the whole child—emotionally, socially, academically, and creatively—through hands-on learning, mentorship, and intentional care.
Our aftercare and youth programming focuses on:
- Building confidence and character through daily affirmations, emotional check-ins, and goal-setting
- Encouraging creativity and self-expression through arts, music, movement, and storytelling
- Fostering academic readiness with structured homework help, literacy activities, and life skills

January 2026: Determination — The Power to Keep Going
Determination Scenarios & Group Presentations
Students will be placed into small groups and given real-life scenarios that require determination—such as:
- Failing a test and trying again
- Learning a new skill
- Working through conflict
- Completing a long-term goal
Each group will:
- Discuss their scenario
- Create a short presentation or role-play
- Share how determination helps overcome obstacles
This activity strengthens problem-solving, public speaking, and collaboration.
Youth Documentary Project
What Is Determination?
Students will work together to:
- Explore what determination mean
- Interview peers and reflect on personal experience
- Share stories of overcoming challenges
- Create a youth-led documentary highlighting perseverance and growth
This project builds confidence, communication skills, teamwork, and self-expression.
2026 Vision Boards
Each student will create a personal vision board to represent:
- Goals for school, friendships, and personal growth
- Dreams for the year ahead
- Positive habits they want to build
- Skills they want to improve
Vision boards help youth see their goals clearly and believe they are achievable. awareness, and self-expression.

We are excited to invite families, friends, APS staff, youth coordinators, and new families interested in enrolling to our very first Christmas Mid-Day Celebration at The Youth Nation Center!
During this special event, our youth will proudly present the business plans and creative projects they’ve been working on all season. Afterwards, everyone will enjoy warm hot cocoa, cookies, and festive holiday cheer.
All Youth Nation program participants will also receive Christmas gifts selected especially for them, making this a heartfelt and memorable moment for our kids.
Join us for a wonderful day filled with togetherness, creativity, and joy as we celebrate the accomplishments of our amazing young people!
